The Dygmies Volume I (working title)

The third Dygmies album is really coming along well. We completed tracking drums this past weekend and now we've just got a few loose ends to tie up before I start mixing.

Our concept for this album and the albums to follow was simple: we have an obscene number of songs we've written, especially my brother, Randy Forte. Some of those songs have been recorded, or at least demoed but many only exist in our brains and on paper. We really wanted to create a catalog of those songs. I came up with the idea of organizing all these songs by similarities (lyrical theme, melody style, dynamics, etc) and the Volumes concept was born. We came up with 10 volumes of about 10 songs each, or a total or approximately 100 songs.

Our friend Dennis Haberkern contributed some amazing guitar parts when he visited in May. Other than that, it's all Dygmies (Marvin Forte, Randy Forte and Doug Jackino)
